Parking Study of Vaihingen an der Enz Rail Station Park & Ride Facilities

BrennerPlan GmbH is commissioned by the City of Vaihingen to conduct an investigation of the parking facilities at the main rail station. A survey of the parking lots around the station, using license plate registration methods, is used to establish the overall utilization and parking time. In addition, a random interview of Park & Ride users is carried out to determine their origin – destination and trip purpose as well as the expected parking time. New scenarios for the expansion and optimization of the parking facility will be developed and evaluated along concepts of parking management.
