The promotion of cycling forms one of the core objectives of the transport and environment policy of many municipalities. The expansion of cycle path networks and the bicycle infrastructure has therefore become an important part of integrated transport planning. We study and plan local and regional cycling networks and their linkage with the overall transport network for our clients.
Pedestrians make up a significant share of the non-motorized individual transport and from an integral part of all other motorized system and especially public transport. In addition to pedestrians safety on the road issue, the subject of signposting for pedestrians forms a core part of our competences. Here, we provide municipalities and school administrations as well as concerned parents with the necessary support and know-how in insuring a safe “walk to school”. Another important issue related to pedestrians is gender mainstreaming where gender sensitive requirements are considered when planning pedestrian infrastructures such as pathways and crossings for which we prepares improvement concepts and draft new plans.
